It facilitates the movement of people with disabilities within the Jagiellonian University buildings

About this app

NawigUJ is a modern application that facilitates the functioning of students and employees with disabilities. Our goal is to provide comprehensive information on the architectural accessibility of the Jagiellonian University buildings, especially for people with mobility, hearing and vision limitations.
Main Features:
Real-Time Navigation. Markers placed at the entrance or inside buildings help with navigation and provide information about the place. The general mode informs about the architectural accessibility of the building and the existing amenities and difficulties.
Two profiled modes - tailor information to your specific needs. In the profiled mode, the way of formulating information has been adapted accordingly, e.g. for people with Asperger's syndrome, messages are simplified; for blind people, the markers emit a sound signal; by hearing which side the sound is coming from, the user receives information about the entrance to the building, lecture hall or adapted toilet.

Accessibility Information - check whether the building is equipped with a ramp, elevator, adapted toilets, induction loop for the hearing impaired, and descriptions in Braille. Full information makes it easier to plan your route.
For whom:
For students and employees of the Jagiellonian University with disabilities, especially those with limited mobility and vision. Also useful for academic staff, providing information on the architectural accessibility of buildings.
Benefits:
Increasing the independence of people with disabilities within the Jagiellonian University infrastructure.
Raising the awareness of the academic community about the needs of people with disabilities.
NawigUJ is a step towards a more accessible university environment. Download the application today and support equal access to education at the Jagiellonian University.
